To promote, disseminate and reward affirmative actions, strategies and measures that promote prevention, treatment and punishment of acts of violence against women and girls in the public and private spheres, and increase women participation in community development and decision-making at the local government level. The enforcement of these actions should be guaranteed through policies, legislation, plans and programmes, while at the same time incorporating new proposals, methodologies and resources.

Specific objectives:

• To support the experiences systematisation, policies, methodologies, studies and actions conducted by the local governments, focusing on guarantying the women and girls security in the cities
  
  
• To strengthen the instruments used for policy formulation, Municipal plans, budgets and programmes focusing on promoting the exercise of the women’s and girl’s rights.
  
  
• To strengthen institutions and organizations working in this field, looking to reinforce their legal access to information, methodologies, proposals, participatory mechanisms, policies definition, programs and budgets to gender issue.
  
  
• To promote the interchange of experiences, management and actions, in the local and regional scope that strengthens the women’s safety of all ages.
